Meet the Team

Ben Pearse

Co-Founder and Montessori Teacher

I am a dedicated AMI Montessori Elementary (6-12) and Qualified Primary Teacher (5-11) with over 16 years of experience guiding children through their educational journey.

My passion for teaching began with a nurturing childhood that instilled in me a deep appreciation for learning. After studying French at University College London, I pursued my PGCE at Brighton University in 2008. It was then that I discovered Montessori education - a moment that changed everything. Seeing children thrive with independence, focus, and joy, I knew I had found my calling.

For 16 years, I taught children aged 5-12 at Brighton & Hove Montessori School, where I embraced the Montessori philosophy of encouraging curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning. Now as a co-founder of Montessori Home School Hub, I am committed to supporting home educated children with an authentic, child-centred approach.

I believe every child has limitless potential. My role as an educator is to observe closely, know when to guide, and when to step back - creating an environment where deep concentration and meaningful learning can flourish.

Philippa Goddard

Co-Founder and Operations Lead

I am the co-founder and operations lead at Montessori Home School Hub, bringing both professional experience in education and personal insight as a home educating parent. I know how important it is for children to have a supportive, well-structured learning environment, and I'm passionate about making Montessori education more accessible to home educating families.

For several years, I worked in early years settings, mainstream schools and most recently Brighton & Hove Montessori School, focusing on creating smooth-running, child-centred learning environments. Now. I manage the day-to-day operations of Montessori Home School Hub, ensuring that we meet all government regulations, safeguarding policies, and health and safety requirements. My role also involves, parent engagement, communications, and operational planning, helping families feel informed and supported throughout their time with us.
